Amagabeli
Buy on Amazon $65.99 and save
Amagabeli sells various outdoor items. We will be focusing on a couple of their popular outdoor firewood racks. Specifically, they offer a smaller capacity rack as well as a much large 8-foot wide outdoor firewood rack. These models aim to find a happy balance between quality, versatility, and price.
Arrow
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
Arrow is another brand that sells many different outdoor and hardware-related products. The firewood rack that we will be discussing from them is their enclosed galvanized steel model. This unit does cost a bit more but offers lots of storage space as well as a roof over the wood to help protect it from Mother Nature.
Best Choice
Buy on Amazon $63.99 and save
Best Choice has one of the larger selections of firewood racks that we have come across. You can choose from smaller indoor units up to their robust 8’ wide model. Not only that, but many of their racks come with additional features such as side hooks, integrated brooms, and shovels.
Doeworks
Buy on Amazon $71.69 and save
If you are after a huge selection of sizes and specifications on your next firewood rack, then Doeworks is just the answer. They have a large range of products to choose from that start from small, portable models up to more robust examples that can handle enough wood for several weeks if not months. And there are also some clever features added to some models.
Goplus
Buy on Amazon $64.99 and save
If you are concerned with styling, then Goplus’ lineup of firewood racks should spark your interest. While none of these racks are the largest you have ever seen, they promise a nice combination of versatility, mobility, and price. They also focus more heavily on round shapes as opposed to the more traditional square or triangular shapes.
Home-Complete
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
Home-Complete takes the simple route in their small but popular lineup of firewood racks. These are some of the most simplistic racks that you will find anywhere. This makes them a breeze to assemble and set up but it also limits some of their usability. But no matter what, you will feel the reduced strain on your pocketbook as Home-Complete firewood racks are very low cost.
Inno Stage
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
There is no other way to say it: If you want a massive selection of firewood racks, then it doesn’t get much better than Inno Stage. This brand has just about every configuration of rack that you can think of: single-level racks, double level racks, long racks, short racks, and more. And not only that, but they asking prices are quite reasonable.
Juvale
Buy on Amazon $89.99 and save
Juvale has fewer options than most other brands. However, that hasn’t stopped them from having some relative success with what they do offer. Their most popular model that we have come across is their all-in-one firewood rack. This model includes a log holder as well as various accessories.
Landmann
Buy on Amazon $99.56 and save
Landmann focuses more on storage size than anything else. The result is a low-cost, simple lineup of firewood racks that are capable of some serious wood storing. However, this simplistic approach does come with some negatives: lack of features and somewhat questionable platforms for stacking firewood on.
Lither
Buy on Amazon $44.99 and save 6%
Lither has one of the most unique firewood racks that we have come across so we decided to include it in this review. This “sling” firewood rack has two levels: a bottom level for stacking traditional firewood and a top-level for stacking kindling. The asking price is a bit higher than most other models of this size but if you are looking for something that stands out from the crowd, this is it.
MyGift
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
MyGift has a diverse array of firewood racks in all sorts of shapes and sizes. And no matter which MyGfit firewood rack you go with, you will enjoy a reasonable asking price. That being said, this brand seems to be focusing on small to mid-sized racks so if you happen to have your heart set on a large model, you may be out of luck.
Nest & Nook
Buy on Amazon $60.99 and save
Nest & Nook has a very small selection of firewood racks. But the sheer uniqueness of it made us want to include them in this review. Specifically, you can only choose from one size that comes in a couple of different designs. There is a small area at the base for placing your kindling and the rest of the area is dedicated to actual firewood. And we love how attractive it is. But it does come at a high asking price.
Panacea
Buy on Amazon $60.87 and save
If you are looking for variety and products to tackle all types of applications, then look no further than Panacea. This brand has one of the most impressive selections of firewood racks that you will find anywhere. Not only that, but their prices tend to be pretty reasonable.
Patio Watcher
Buy on Amazon $78.49 and save 8%
Patio Watcher is another brand that tries to combine versatility with aesthetics. The result is a decent selection of attractive small to mid-sized firewood racks that will look just as good outdoors as indoors. The build quality is quite nice and, while you will pay a bit extra, you will enjoy a firewood rack that should last for several years without issue.
Phi Villa
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
Phi Villa is pretty limited in its selection of firewood racks. However, what they do offer is pretty popular and diverse enough to meet a lot of people’s demands. They have two models that we have come across: a smaller 27” cast iron fireplace grate and a more traditional 4-foot wide heavy duty indoor/outdoor firewood rack.
Pinty
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
Pinty is a brand that seems to focus on larger and more capable firewood racks. The result is a nice selection of higher-end models that can hold weeks if not months of firewood. They offer both simple models with little in the way of features up to more specialized units that come with various accessories. You will pay a bit more for these, however.
Plow & Hearth
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
Plow & Hearth is another brand that has a huge selection of firewood racks. They have small, attractive indoor models and this scales up to huge examples that are intended for strictly outdoor use. The asking prices are typically quite reasonable on the simpler models. And while the more involved units may require a bit more money, they should still be within most people’s budgets.
Pure Garden
Buy on Amazon $36.79 and save 33%
Pure Garden has a few different selections based off of two different base template designs. Within this range are medium to large fireplace racks. The smaller ones typically being around 2 to 4 foot wide and the largest ones scaling up to 8’. There are some quality issues with this brand but if you are willing to overlook them, you will find that these are some of the most affordable racks that you will find anywhere.
Regal Flame
Buy on Amazon $64.94 and save
If the name didn’t give it away, Regal Flame is in the business of making products related to fires. Not only do they have a nice lineup of firewood racks, but they also provide all sorts of other products for your fire pit, bbq, and more. Their lineup of firewood racks errs on the side of being heavy duty. And while you pay a bit extra for them, you will enjoy some of the toughest products around as a result.
Shelter It
Buy on Amazon Price not available and save
Shelter It’s selection may be a bit lacking, but where they make up for it is in the originality of their designs. These firewood racks are both functional and attractive. They utilize unique shapes and contours to centralize the wood and they look great while doing it. However, you will pay handsomely for it.
Sunnydaze
Buy on Amazon $50.95 and save 20%
Out of all the brands that we have tested, Sunnydaze probably has the largest selection of firewood racks. There isn’t any other way to describe their selection other than enormous. They have just about every configuration and shape of the firewood rack that you can think of. Probably the only models that they don’t have a great selection of are the very largest models. And nearly all of their products are very reasonably priced.
Ucared
Buy on Amazon $222.08 and save
Ucared decided to take a simple approach in the limited selection of firewood racks. We have only come across two models that they sell. And both models are more or less the same design and shape. However, for many, this simple design may be preferable over a more exotic design. Because the result is a simple, proven, and easy-to-use rack.
WGX
Buy on Amazon $99.00 and save
We are always keeping our eyes out for unique firewood racks. And WGX’s selection is limited but what they do offer certainly stands out! We are talking about their indoor/outdoor decorative tall log rack holder. This model is different than most of the others that we have reviewed in that it is taller than it is wide. However, you will pay a high asking price for it.
Woodhaven
Buy on Amazon $239.00 and save
If it wasn’t obvious by the name, Woodhaven is in the business of making firewood racks. And they are certainly good at it! They offer some of the largest racks in the industry. Not only that, but their racks are extremely well-made. They can handle elements and loads that few other models in the business can match. The only negative to them is the high asking price.
Y-Furniture Design
Buy on Amazon $175.95 and save
While Y-Furniture Design focuses more on firewood rack covers, they do have a few actual racks as well. Our experience with them lies with their simple indoor/outdoor rustic firewood rack. This model is well crafted and has a rustic feel to it. However, it is quite expensive considering the size.
Rating Metrics
While a firewood rack may seem like a pretty simple product, there are quite a few factors that one should consider when shopping around for one. In this section, we discuss the top factors that you should look into when shopping around.
Ease of Use
Ease of use refers to how user-friendly a particular firewood rack is. When you are dealing with loading and unloading heavy logs, making the process as simple as possible is extremely important. Doing so can help minimize strain on your back and also typically allow you to spend less time in the cold outdoors (where firewood is typically stored). Things we like to look for here include easily accessible loading areas, self-centralizing rails, divided sections for splitting up firewood for kindling, adjustable lengths, solid bases to avoid wood falling through, and more.
Storage Space
This metric is pretty self-explanatory. Storage Space refers to have much room you have to work with to store firewood in. It is worth noting that not everybody will need a massive firewood rack. People that only temporarily burn wood or don’t have space/money for a large rack may prefer a smaller unit. What we value is the ability to maximize storage space for a given size. Certain models may take up a lot of space but not be able to store that much firewood due to their design.
Build Quality
Any time you make a purchase, you expect quality. And that is particularly the case when purchasing a firewood rack. Since firewood racks need to be able to hold a lot of weight and oftentimes be stored outside in demanding elements, having high-quality construction is extremely important. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways. This includes using strong metal for framing, having a thick protective coat that is resistant to rust and heat, utilizing quality hardware and welding, and more.
Cost
This cost metric is pretty self-explanatory. We value firewood racks that are a good bang for your buck. And just because one model is cheaper than another doesn’t automatically mean that it will rank better here. Rather, we are after products that provide good features, durability, and storage space and a competitive asking price compared to other similar models on the market.
Overall Rating
Overall Rating is a summation of the other metrics. It takes into consideration the individual ratings for other factors in its calculation. A good rule of thumb is that anything that scores 3 to 3.5 stars is a good buy, 3.5 to 4 stars is a great buy, and above 4 stars is a fantastic buy.

These are the full reviews that we have on each brand of firewood rack. We break down the metrics discussed above and attach a rating to each along with an Overall Rating.
Amagabeli Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Amagabeli firewood racks are a breeze to use. The smaller model doesn’t require any assembly and the larger 8-foot model only requires simple assembly (12 screws, 6 metal pipes, and 3 crossbars). Accessing your firewood is made simple thanks to the large openings on each side. We like how on the smaller model, the sides are at an angle. This helps the firewood to naturally stack on top of each other and stay in place. Our only minor issue is that the rack could be a bit wider. You will need to make sure that you don’t cut your firewood too wide.
Storage Space –
If you have a lot of firewood that needs to be stored, then the 8-foot wide rack is the way to go. This large model can stack firewood 8 foot across and up to 4 foot high. The smaller unit won’t have nearly the storage space (15” wide and 21” up). So it is better for indoor areas where you don’t plan on storing firewood long term.
Build Quality –
The build quality is quite good here. Amagabeli uses heavy tubular steel and black powder-coated finish. This helps to stop the metal from rusting or corroding over time. The framing and support beams are wide and sturdy and should hold up to a full load of firewood for many seasons. Also, Amagabeli stands behind their product with a 1-year limited warranty.
Cost –
Considering the build quality and storage space, these firewood racks are at a very reasonable price point. There is no surprise that Amagabeli’s firewood racks are among the most popular for sale online right now when you consider their asking price.
Overall Rating –
We have no major complaints with Amagabeli’s firewood racks. They are well-made, easy to use, and the larger 8-foot model provides all of the storage space that you would possibly need for a long winter of fires. And the price is quite reasonable.
Arrow Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Since Arrow’s firewood rack is enclosed on the side and has a roof, it will be a bit more challenging to load and unload the firewood. If you are someone that likes to pile up the wood as high as it can go, you may find it difficult to grab a piece of wood since you can’t reach it from the side or above. However, the roof does come with the benefit of protecting your wood better. You won’t have to go through the hassle of adding a covering to your firewood rack since it comes with one, to begin with. There is some minor assembly required but it isn’t too difficult.
The quality of the components used in the Arrow firewood rack is above average. The pieces are made of galvanized steel which is extremely corrosion-resistant. The paneling is a bit on the thin side but it should still work for several seasons without concern. Also, the framing is a bit thinner than we have seen on other models. But it doesn’t seem to affect how well this rack can handle the added weight from all the firewood.
Cost –
The asking price here is a bit higher than we have seen in other models. This can be attributed to the sidewalls and the roof overhead. Not to mention that this is a pretty large unit. For those that appreciate the added protection that the walls and roof provide, the higher asking price should be fair.
Overall Rating –
The Arrow firewood rack takes a unique approach by adding a built-in roof and solid sidewalls. This model is large enough to store quite a bit of firewood (8 foot wide in fact) but due to the walls, you may struggle to store quite as much firewood as a more traditional 8-foot wide rack. Build quality is acceptable although the paneling could use a bit of beefing up. And you will pay a slight upcharge to enjoy the benefit of having a roof over your firewood.
Best Choice Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
We found Best Choice firewood racks very simple to use. They are long enough to handle small to medium-sized pieces of wood. If you happen to enjoy longer pieces of firewood, you may find them to be a bit too short. But what makes these products shine are the “extras”. We like the included tools that certain models come with. This includes a poker, hook, shovel, and duster. Not only that, but certain models will come with multiple levels to stack the wood on. This allows for easy access to new wood as well as an easier job organizing.
Storage Space –
Since many of Best Choice’s firewood racks are on the smaller side, you will be a bit limited in your storage space. If you are after maximum storage capabilities, then you will want to go with their 8’ wide model. But outside of this unit, you could consider the other products to be small to mid-sized. This is good for a smaller fireplace or an indoor setting but for a more long-term solution, you will probably want something more capable.
Build Quality –
We found that build quality to be good here. These components are comprised of durable steel that is pretty resistant to rusting. There is also a nice frame that should be able to handle the weight of the wood. Finally, Best Choice has a one-year limited warranty that covers replacement parts.
Cost –
We feel that the asking prices here are quite fair. When you consider the “extras” that you get with certain models, they could be considered a decent bargain.
Overall Rating –
We were quite impressed with the combination of features, build quality, and price that Best Choice offered in their nice selection of firewood racks. Our only minor issue was that their smaller models but be a bit limited in their storage capacity. However, for an indoor setting, they will work fine. It is also worth mentioning that these are some of the more attractive firewood racks that we have tested.
DoeWorks Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
While most of Doeworks’ firewood racks are pretty straightforward, there are a few that stand out. These include their semi-circle models which are easy to use since stacked wood will naturally centralize towards the middle. In another model, the base is adjustable which allows you to stack up your wood no matter how many or how few pieces you have. Probably one of our favorite models is their 3 feet indoor/outdoor rack that has a separate elevated holder dedicated to just kindling.
Storage Space –
It appears that Doeworks focuses more on smaller models. Because of this, you may find that if you have a lot of firewood, there simply isn’t enough storage space. If you are looking for maximum storage space, then the 5 feet medium heavy-duty model is your best bet. But even it is a little lacking in the depth department only offering around 14” of stacking depth.
Build Quality –
Most of the components are made of heavy-duty tubular steel with a double powder-coated finish. This provides good corrosion protection for the metal in both indoor and outdoor settings. We did find that the bar size (1.2mm thick and 1.2” diameter) is a bit smaller than some of the other bars that we have experienced. However, considering that most of Doeworks firewood racks are small to mid-sized, it is acceptable.
Cost –
One of the best selling points of this brand is its asking price. They are among some of the most affordable firewood racks that you will find. And considering the features and build quality, they are a nice buy. Yes, they are a bit on the smaller side but if you are OK with that then your wallet will be thankful.
Overall Rating –
If you are after a small to mid-sized firewood rack that should hold up to normal wear and tear, then Doeworks is a good candidate for you. Their selection of sizes and specifications is among the largest you will find anywhere. The only people that may be disappointed are those after the largest and most robust of firewood racks. But everyone else, Doeworks should have a solution that meets your needs.
Goplus Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
We have mixed feelings about how easy Goplus firewood racks are. On the one hand, they are small and mobile. You shouldn’t have an issue finding a spot inside your home or near your backdoor to place them. And we like the round shape that naturally centralizes the wood towards the middle. However, we aren’t huge fans of how the beams hang over most of the models. This will make stacking firewood very high more of a challenge. Not only that, but the round shape means that your available space will be very limited towards the bottom and the top. They do offer a few models that get away from this design (such as their 4-foot square model), however.
Storage Space –
As we alluded to above, storage volume can be a bit lacking in many of the Goplus firewood rack models. If you happen to have a large amount of firewood and are looking for long-term storage, then most of these products will probably not be the best option for you. The 4-foot wide model is probably your best bet for getting the most storage space possible.
Build Quality –
As is pretty standard of firewood racks these days, the framing is made of powder-coated steel. While the metal should hold up to wear and tear, the frames are a bit thin. But since most of these racks aren’t designed to hold hundreds and hundreds of pounds of firewood, the relative thinness of them shouldn’t be a major issue.
Cost –
We like the asking prices for these products across the board. Part of their cost-savings has to do with the fact that they are a bit on the smaller side. Smaller firewood racks mean fewer materials that need to be used. But they do look quite nice and many people may mistake them for much higher priced models based on their aesthetics alone.
Overall Rating –
If you are focused on getting a smaller firewood rack to a place near a fireplace and also value stylish looks, then Goplus will have a few models right down your alley. However, they will be somewhat limited in how much wood you can stack (based both on their overall size as well as their round design. But these sizes of racks do serve a purpose and the added benefit is that you may save a bit of money in the process.
Home-Complete Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
From a setting up standpoint, these models are very simple. They are comprised of just a handful of pieces and nothing more than a few bolts threaded in holes is all that they need to be installed. The lack of support bars also means that you will have quick and easy access to the stored firewood. But there are some negatives. First, the base structure on many models is almost too simple. Instead of having a solid baseboard, some of Home-Complete’s firewood racks are nothing more than a couple of beams that run parallel to each other. This means that if your wood isn’t cut to the perfect length, it tends to fall through the gaps.
Storage Space –
You won’t find much in the way of extremely large firewood racks here. Instead, you are stuck with small to mid-sized models. That isn’t to say that the popular 4-foot wide model won’t hold some wood. This is thanks to it also being 48” tall. However, this won’t hold a candle compared to some of the huge 8’ wide models other companies are putting out.
Build Quality –
We are a bit underwhelmed by the build quality on Home-Complete firewood racks. The beams used are pretty thin and can be a bit flimsy when under a heavy load. Not only that, but the support rods and bolts are pretty low-cost as well. Thankfully, the tubular steel is coated with the standard weatherproof coating that we like to see.
Cost –
Probably the biggest reason why Home-Complete firewood racks are so popular is due to their great asking price. These are extremely affordable models. Not only that, but they seem to be getting cheaper over time. If you are on a tight budget and willing to make some sacrifices in other categories, this brand might have what you need.
Overall Rating –
Home-Complete didn’t blow us away with their storage size, build quality, or ease of use. However, they do come in at a very competitive price point. And for someone who is trying to minimize how much they are spending and after a small to mid-sized firewood rack, these can still fill the void.
Inno Stage Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Due to having such a large selection of sizes and configurations to choose from, Inno Stage likely has a particular firewood rack that will perfectly fit your individual needs. One aspect that we like about this brand is that they can offer a lot of different models that don’t utilize an overhead frame. These types of frames can make it more challenging to stack and access firewood that has been placed on top of them. We also really like the clever two-level firewood racks that give individual storage spaces for various types of firewood.
Storage Space –
Storage space will be dictated by which specific firewood rack you are looking at. Some of the smaller models will be limited in storage capabilities. But at the same time, Inno Stage has some much larger units such as their 8-foot wide model that is large enough to hold an entire season’s worth of wood. And the double-level racks are extremely tall. So despite not having a lot of horizontal storage space, they somewhat make up for it in the ability to stack wood extremely high.
Build Quality –
We have no major qualms with the build quality of this brand. Some of the units do have somewhat thin framing but it doesn’t seem to impede the longevity. All of the models come with the typical steel frame that we like to see and are coated in an outdoor-friendly coating.
Cost –
We feel that the asking prices are very reasonable. You will pay a bit extra for some of the larger models but even they have a good “dollar per square foot” ratio. There are also some clever and attractive aesthetic additional to some of the models that make them look much more expensive than they are.
Overall Rating –
We are overall very impressed with what Inno Stage has brought to the table with its large and diverse array of firewood racks. No matter what your specific needs or storage requirements are, Inno Stage likely has a model suited for you. And the asking prices are nice as well. We highly recommend this brand.
Juvale Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
If you are after an all-in-one package, then the Juvale firewood rack makes a strong argument for your money. This model comes with two different levels which allow for splitting up your firewood and your kindling. Not only that, but it also comes with 4 fireplace tools. These tools include a poker, broom, tongs, and a shovel. The one issue we have is that the platform is a bit small. It is only 15” x 13” so you will need to make sure that you cut your firewood somewhat short so that it doesn’t hang over and potentially fall.
Storage Space –
As we mentioned above, the surface area is somewhat lacking here. Thankfully, Juvale does make up for it some by making their firewood rack taller. It is taller than it is wide or deep (29”). As since you have two different sections for various wood, it gives you some added versatility. However, if you are simply looking for maximum storage space for one type of wood, there are probably better options out there.
Build Quality –
Build quality is pretty standard. The frame is comprised of heavy-duty cold-rolled iron that comes with a powder-coated finish to prevent rust. There is little in the way of assembly and instead, the framing is welded together from the factory.
Cost –
Build quality is pretty standard. The frame is comprised of heavy-duty cold-rolled iron that comes with a powder-coated finish to prevent rust. There is little in the way of assembly and instead, the framing is welded together from the factory.
Overall Rating –
We enjoyed trying out the Juvale firewood rack. This package has just about everything you need to maintain a fireplace (the only thing missing is the wood!). It is a bit limited in overall storage space but if you are just looking for a simple indoor solution then it can work. The asking price is fair but you will pay a bit extra for those additional accessories.
Landmann Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Since Landmann firewood racks are so simple, they are very easy to set up and use. Most require some light installation but it is nothing more than a few bolts. You can quickly get one of these up and running in no time. And since they are so large, it is very easy to move and access firewood that you have stacked on them. Our biggest complaint comes with the base of these structures, however. Most models are nothing more than a couple of thin beams that run parallel each other. Because of this, you will have to be extra careful when stacking and cutting your firewood. If the wood is too short, it will not fit across the platform beams.
Storage Space –
If you are after serious storage space, look no further. Landmann has firewood racks that are as large as 16 feet across. This is among the largest in the industry for the residential sector. Not only are they wide, but they are also very tall (48” in fact). You should have no issue having enough room to stack weeks if not months worth of firewood on these racks.
Build Quality –
Build quality is acceptable. Since these are large firewood racks, it is important to have a strong frame to handle the weight. We haven’t heard any issues about the metal rods warping or bending. They are made of the same high-quality steel that we like to see. And it comes with a durable coating that is resistant to corrosion and light abrasions.
Cost –
Considering how large Landmann firewood racks are, they are a great bargain. You get a lot of storage space for not a lot of money. Yes, they are very simple in design. You won’t find anything in the way of bells and whistles with these models. And we wouldn’t mind a slightly higher asking price for a more user-friendly stacking platform. But these are only minor complaints.
Overall Rating –
Landmann brings to the table a selection of large firewood racks that are perfect for someone on a tight budget but that still wants some serious storage space. These products keep things simple and stacking wood high on them can be a bit of an art. But there is no denying that they have a great presence and an excellent “bang for your buck”.
Lither Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
There are notable positives and negatives to the Lither firewood rack. We love how the bottom level and top-level are sectioned off. This allows for easy compartmentalization of both firewood and kindling. And the assembly process is pretty straightforward as well. However, our main complaint lies with the difficulty in accessing and stacking the wood on the bottom. As you stack the wood higher up, there may be spacing issues with the frame above it. This can make it challenging both to stack the wood past a certain point and also access the wood once it is stacked. Also, there isn’t a solid base so extra care will need to be taken while stacking the wood so that it doesn’t fall through the gap.
Storage Space –
The Lither firewood rack has a 14” x 15” base. This definitely couldn’t be considered large. It does make up for this some in its height. It comes in at nearly 3 feet tool. But as we mentioned above, it may be difficult to fully use this entire 3 foot of height as wood near the top of the bottom level will be difficult to access.
Build Quality –
We are middle of the road when it comes to building quality on this model. The structure and frame are made well enough. The brackets and weld points seem to be of nice quality. And the steel beams have the layer of outer protection that we like to see. But the beams could use a bit more “beefing up” in our opinion. While you won’t ever be able to stack a significant amount of weight on here due to the small size, we do have some concerns on longevity since the beams are so thin.
Cost –
Considering the storage space, the asking price is a bit higher than we would like to see. We assume that part of this has to do with the clever design. This certainly is one of the more uniquely designed firewood racks that we have seen. It combines attractiveness with usefulness in a way that many other models can’t match. But for people who are simply looking for a rack to store wood, there are cheaper options out there.
Overall Rating –
The Lither firewood rack is a good choice for a simple, modular rack that you can section off your wood from your kindling. And the design approach that they took looks great. But it is limited in its versatility and we have some inhibitions in leaving this rack in outdoor elements for long periods. Finally, the asking price is a bit higher than we have seen in other similarly-sized models.
MyGift Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Most of these models are very straightforward to use. Assembly is a breeze. We like that most models also don’t have overhanging beams that can make access to the logs a bit more challenging. However, MyGift also has a few tricks up its sleeve. One of our favorite models is their arch design firewood holder. This model comes with a side log rack for smaller wood specifically for kindling. Some models come with a solid base which makes it easier to stack shorter or oddly-shaped firewood logs.
Storage Space –
Depending on which model you go with, you will have a small amount of storage space up to a mid-sized amount. Probably the largest model that we have tested is the log bin. This unit is 24” wide, 9” deep, and 30” tall. This is not as large as some of the 6 to 8 foot wide models that we have tested, but it is big enough for some people’s needs.
Build Quality –
Build quality is above average thanks to the simplistic design. You won’t find as many brackets and bolts on MyGift firewood racks as you will in other brands. This means that there are fewer areas where things can break. And the frames used are plenty thick given their size and come with the proven powder-coated finish that is more rust and scrape resistant.
Cost –
These models are at a great price point. Sure, they aren’t the largest racks you will find, but the combination of good quality and simple use makes them a bargain. You will pay a slight upcharge for some of the more specialty models with side kindling racks but the increase in price isn’t huge.
Overall Rating –
If you are after a small to mid-sized firewood rack for an indoor or outdoor setting, then definitely consider checking out MyGift. Their selection includes a few different sizes and configurations. And we like that some of their models think outside of the box and come with multiple platforms for storing wood. Build quality is acceptable and the asking prices are more than fair.
Nest & Nook Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
In terms of usability, the Nest & Nook firewood holder is very easy to use. It is designed in a way that naturally pushes wood towards the middle and centralizes it. And being able to split up small pieces of wood and the larger pieces can be quite helpful. Also, we like how there isn’t any sort of overhead rack that makes it difficult to access the wood. Another nice selling point is that you don’t have to deal with any sort of assembly. And since you have a solid base, you don’t have to worry about smaller pieces of wood falling through the middle.
Storage Space –
The big negative of the Nest & Nook firewood holder is its size. It is extremely small. Specifically, it is only 9.6” x 17.8” x 11.8”. Because of this, you will be quite limited in how much firewood you can store. But this isn’t intended on being a long-term firewood storage option. Instead, it seems to be more focused on being an indoor unit that is meant to hold enough firewood for an evening or two.
Build Quality –
The quality of materials and construction used here is excellent. It is made of powder-coated gunmetal grey steel that is thick. And since you don’t have to worry about bolts or nuts, there are fewer potential failure points. That being said, this model is so attractive that you probably won’t want to leave it in outdoor elements anyways!
Cost –
There is no other way to say it. For the size, this is an extremely expensive firewood rack. If you are simply looking for a solution that stores lots of firewood at a low cost, this isn’t the product for you. However, if having a unique and attractive solution for an indoor setting is high up on your “want” list (and you are willing to pay handsomely for it), then the Nest & Nook firewood holder can work.
Overall Rating –
The Nest & Nook firewood holder is designed for a very specific niche. If you value aesthetics and want a small and convenient place to temporarily store small amounts of firewood, then this can be a great buy. However, for many people, the combination of limited storage and the high asking price will take this one out of the running.
Panacea Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Panacea won’t wow you with tons of features or clever design tweaks. Instead, they are more focused on simplicity. They strive to give you simple, large firewood racks that can handle a lot of wood. And in that regard, they succeed. It is easy to stack up firewood and you shouldn’t have an issue accessing the firewood. Our only complaint is that most of the models don’t have a solid base. So you will have to make sure that your firewood is the proper length to stack it up.
Storage Space –
If you are needing some serious firewood storage space, then Panacea has you covered. Sure, they have some smaller and mid-sized units. But where they shine is in their larger models. These can be 8 feet wide or more, which gives tons of space for storing a lot of wood. The only complaints that we have heard have to do with the narrowness of some of the racks. If you are someone that likes to cut long pieces of firewood, they may hang over the sides more than you would like.
Build Quality –
Build quality is acceptable here. These aren’t the toughest firewood racks that we have come across, but they should hold up to typical usage. The main gripe we have with them is that the frame can be a little thin in some models. However, we haven’t experienced any sort of bending or damage because of this. And, as expected, the metal used is well made and coated in a protective coating that makes it resistant to corrosion and rust.
Cost –
Panacea firewood racks are at a good price point. There are a few cheaper examples out there, but they are typically going to have smaller storage volume. If you are after a lot of storage space, acceptable quality, and a fair asking price, then this brand has you covered.
Overall Rating –
We have no major complaints about Panacea’s large selection of firewood racks. These racks are good for both indoor and outdoor environments. And no matter if you are looking for a smaller model for a few pieces of wood or a huge rack that can store hundreds of pieces, there is something here for you. The build quality, considering the price, is good. And speaking of price, we feel that you get a lot for your money in terms of storage space. These are a solid recommendation in our book.
Patio Watcher Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
All of Patio Watcher’s firewood racks are very simple to use. Probably our favorite is that all-in-one double-level model. As the name suggests, it comes with two different levels. This can allow you to compartmentalize different types of firewood or split up firewood from kindling. Not only that, but it also comes with r different tools including a tong, poker, broom, and shovel. As a bonus, the base is solid which helps when trying to stack up firewood.
Storage Space –
If storage space is your primary concern, then you should stick with the larger 14” x 48” x 48” model. This is large enough to fit several weeks’ worth of firewood with ease. The smaller unit is designed more for temporarily putting the wood that you plan on burning that evening only.
Build Quality –
The build quality is quite good. The large model comes with heavy-duty tubular steel that is approximately 1.2mm thick and 1.2” in diameter. The smaller model is made of cast iron so, while heavy, it is incredibly tough. Both models should be able to handle any sort of outdoor environments and heated environments near the fireplace without issue.
Cost –
While these aren’t the ultra-budget models that we have seen other brands use, the asking prices are still fair in our opinion. You are enjoying a step up in build quality, attractiveness, and features for not a huge step up in price. And in our opinion, it is worth it.
Overall Rating –
We left extremely impressed by what Patio Watcher has to offer when it comes to firewood storage. Their selection has multiple types and sizes with only the very largest of models missing. What is available is constructed quite well and comes with some clever features including shovels and pokers. Not only that, but these are some of the more attractive racks that we have seen and could be used both indoors and outdoors. All in all, we highly recommend this brand.
Phi Villa Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Both models of Phi Villa firewood holders are easily accessible from the top. On the larger model, you can stack up the wood pretty high thanks to the simple and modular design. The smaller unit won’t hold quite as much but it comes with a helpful curved base that allows you to easily centralize the stacked wood. Not only that, but the smaller model also has a semi-solid base so you will have an easier time stacking.
Cost –
The asking prices for Phi Villa firewood racks are a bit higher than other models that we have tested. However, this is somewhat justified. The larger model has a higher asking price simply because of its larger size. And the smaller model, while limited in storage, fetches a premium because of it being made of quality cast iron.
Overall Rating –
Phi Villa brings to the table a couple of proven firewood racks. Both models differ quite a bit from one another but come with their unique pros and cons. The larger unit is good for someone who doesn’t care about fancy features and simply wants a place to store a decent amount of firewood. The smaller unit is arguably tougher thanks to being made of cast iron but it quite limited in storage space. Both models will cost a bit more than other brands, however.
Pinty Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
All the Pinty firewood racks that we tested were incredibly easy to use. They tend to be on the larger side so it is easy to find room to stack more wood. They also have some models that have angles walls which help to centralize the wood. We also enjoyed the racks that come with various accessories including a shovel and pick. There is even a model with a sling top that is perfect for storing kindling. The only issue that some people may have is in the models that don’t have a solid base. You will need to make sure that you cut your firewood to the correct length to easily stack it.
Storage Space –
One thing that isn’t lacking with Pinty firewood racks is storage space. These units are quite large, with the largest being 8 foot wide and around 4 feet tall. Even the smaller models tend to be 3 to 4 feet wide and several feet tall as well. Many options come with multiple levels of storage racks which makes it easier to stack and compartmentalize various types of wood.
Build Quality –
These racks are made of the standard steel that we like to see. They are powder-coated to make them more outdoor-friendly. And while there is some assembly necessary on most of them, the bolts and fasteners used should hold up to normal wear and tear. Another aspect we like is the 1-year warranty that comes with a purchase. This shows up that Pinty will stand behind their products.
Cost –
The only negative of these models is that they can cost a bit more than other brands. However, when you consider the combination of storage space, build quality, and features, the price is more than justifiable.
Overall Rating –
Pinty impressed us with their nice lineup of medium to large-sized firewood racks. Not only are these capable of storing some serious wood, but they are also well made. The components used are of nice quality and they come backed by a 1-year warranty. These racks are also very easy to use and many come with multiple storage areas and other helpful accessories. Sure, you will pay a bit more for one but it is well worth the higher asking price in our opinion.
Plow & Hearth Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
We like how easily accessible firewood is when stacked on Plow & Hearth firewood racks. The walls are also tall enough to provide plenty of stability for firewood. However, we do wish more of the models had a solid base so that it was easier to stack oblongly shaped or odd length pieces of wood. A few of the models will come with multiple storage levels for categorizing your wood based on if it is firewood or kindling. And a small number of units even come with some added accessories like a shovel and pick.
Storage Space –
No matter how much storage space you are after, Plow & Hearth will have a model for you. They have some smaller models that are intended for indoor use next to the fireplace. But if you are after large models, they have 8 foot wide racks that are also as tall as a person!
Build Quality –
The build quality here is pretty standard. Plow & Hearth uses the same typical steel that most of the other brands are using. And it comes in the powder-coated finish to make it more resistant to rusting. The hardware that assembles the various pieces is made of stainless steel as well, which is helpful.
Cost –
The asking prices here aren’t the cheapest around but they are reasonable. You will get some cost savings if you go with one of the smaller and simpler models. But even the largest units should be within most people’s budgets. And considering the asking price, the overall build quality is on point.
Overall Rating –
We have no major gripes with Plow & Hearth’s large selection of firewood racks. They do have something for everyone: small indoor models up to massive outdoor models. And if you are someone that values additional features, they have some products that excel in that as well. Build quality is good and we had no issues with parts prematurely breaking or failing. And the asking price, while not the absolute cheapest, and still within a range that we would consider acceptable.
Pure Garden Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
One thing that we can’t deny is the simplicity of Pure Garden firewood racks. These models are super easy to set up and stack the wood on. This is thanks to not having any sort of overhang or exotic sidewalls that make adding and removing wood a chore. The negative comes in that most of the models have large gaps at the base. So unless you have the perfect length of wood, some may fall through the hole in the middle or not stack very evenly.
Storage Space –
As you probably guessed, the largest 8’ wide model will provide lots of storage space. It is a good choice for long-term storage for wood at places like a cabin or outside your home. It is also pretty tall with around 4’ of potential room to stack wood. The smaller models will have significantly less storage area but they are still large enough to hold enough wood for a couple of weeks.
Build Quality –
The biggest negative with Pure Garden firewood racks are in their quality. We have heard some complaints about these units falling apart earlier than we would have hoped. On paper, things should be good: the same steel components with an outer protective coating is present that we see in most other brands. However, the issue lies with the bolts and brackets. They don’t line up as well as we would have hoped which can result in premature failure.
Cost –
If you are on a tight budget, Pure Garden is a brand that will pique your interest. These are some of the most affordable racks that you will find anywhere when comparing the price to storage space. However, as we mentioned earlier, this does come with some shortcomings when it comes to building quality and features.
Overall Rating –
Pure Garden tries to compete by being one of the cheapest options out there. This does result in some questionable build quality and overall simple designs. If you are handy with tools and can make adjustments as necessary, these are good products that will save you some money. But for the average person who is simply wanting something that will work for many years to come, you may be better off spending a bit more money for something with better build quality.
Regal Flame Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Regal Flame firewood racks take a pretty straightforward approach. Because of this, they are easy to use (both in terms of stacking wood and removing wood). The main issue with them is that the base and sides are fully open so it is easier for smaller pieces of wood to slip through and fall. You will need to make sure that you properly cut the wood so that it will stack up on the base.
Storage Space –
Our two favorite models by Regal Flame are their 28” wide model and their 8-foot wide model. As you probably guessed, the 8-foot wide model will have some pretty impressive storage capabilities. But the smaller models aren’t slouches, either. This is thanks to having pretty tall sidewalls and also being a bit deeper than a lot of the competition. You should have enough room to store many nights’ worth of firewood on every model that you purchase.
Build Quality –
Probably Regal Flame’s biggest selling point is in its build quality. These are incredibly resilient firewood racks that should be able to hold up to even the most challenging of conditions. This is thanks to having much thicker framing than many other companies can offer. And the material used is proven tubular steel with a powder-coated paint that is very difficult to chip or corrode. Not only that, but the bolts and fasteners used are of very good quality as well. And Regal Flame stands behind the quality of their firewood racks with a 100% money-back guarantee.
Cost –
While not the cheapest you will find, Regal Flame is still quite affordable in our opinion. And when you factor in their size and overall toughness, they are a very good bargain. These models are designed to last and you will likely save money in the long run because you won’t have to be replacing your firewood rack every few years.
Overall Rating –
Regal Flame firewood racks are among the top choices that we have tested. Not only are they large enough to handle some serious wood storage, but they are incredibly well built. And their simple design means easy access and removal of stored wood. If you value quality and toughness then this is a brand to check out.
Shelter It Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
One of our favorite aspects about Shelter It is how great they are in regards to centralizing the firewood. They come in a cool contoured curved design that will literally “slide” the firewood towards the center. The result is much easier and stable stacking. Also, there is a separate base area that you can place kindling or other specialty types of wood (such as newspapers, starter logs, etc.). Removing firewood is a breeze as well since there is no overhead support that can get in the way. The only issue some people may have is in dealing with shorter logs since there is a gap in the middle at the base.
Storage Space –
If you are wanting the most storage space, then Shelter It’s 8-foot rack is the choice for you. It won’t hold as much wood as a traditional 8’ wide rack because of the curved design but it can still hold plenty of firewood for several week’s worths of fires. Some smaller models will lack a bit more in terms of maximum storage space. But these other units aren’t intended for long-term storage anyways.
Build Quality –
The frame of Shelter It’s firewood racks are quite thick. They can hold up a lot of weight without issue. And they come wrapped in a powder-coated material that makes them more resilient to scratching and corrosion. And the design makes these even tougher. But utilizing a curved design and not using jagged edges, it reduces the number of stress risers (potential failure points).
Cost –
The biggest negative of Shelter It firewood racks is their cost. These products are extremely expensive. They are among the most expensive firewood racks that we have come across. If you are willing to pay the high premium for them, you will enjoy a very well-made product that should last for years and will also stand out from the crowd when it comes to attractiveness.
Overall Rating –
Shelter It’s small lineup of firewood racks impressed us. They are extremely well made. Not only that, but they are very easy to use. We like the separate storage area for starter wood. And these models are extremely attractive thanks to their unique curved design. The only negative (and it’s a big one) is the asking price. These products are very expensive and may simply be out of some people’s budget. But if you are willing and able to spend this kind of money on a firewood rack, you won’t be disappointed.
Sunnydaze Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
In their repertoire, Sunnydaze has many different configurations of firewood rack. So no matter what you are after, they likely have something that meets your needs. They have curved products that help with centralizing the wood in the middle and most of their units have an easy-access top so that you can store and remove firewood easily. Not only that, but most of their products are quite easy to assemble as well. Some even come with side hooks for hanging your various firewood tools such as a shovel and tongs.
Storage Space –
Sunnydaze has you covered when it comes to small and mid-sized racks. Their selection of medium racks is one of the largest in the industry. And these racks are at a size that makes them good for both indoor and outdoor settings. The only area that is lacking here is in the enormous models. Probably the largest product that we have come across from Sunndyaze is their 4’ wide example. This model is still pretty big but will not match up to some of the 8 to 16-foot racks that other companies have.
Build Quality –
Sunnydaze has managed to find a happy medium between quality and price. There are more resilient brands out there but they tend to cost much more. The rack thickness on some of these units could use a bit of beefing up. However, it doesn’t seem to affect performance (at least in the short term). As is typical of most firewood racks these days, the metal used is steel and it is coated in a protective rust-resistant layer of spray.
Cost –
We are quite content with the price point of Sunnydaze firewood racks. They are in the conversation for being some of the best “bang for your buck” products around. While they won’t have the huge laundry list of features and industry-leading build quality that some companies focus on, they are also much more affordable. It appears that Sunnydaze is aiming at being the “every man’s” product.
Overall Rating –
We love the huge selection that you get with Sunnydaze. Some clever designs utilize curves, hooks, and other design features that you won’t find in a lot of other places. Considering the price point, these are a great buy. They should last for many years without issue. The only area lacking is in the large to huge models. So unless you are looking to maximize your storage space, Sunnydaze likely has something that will work for you.
Ucared Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Ucared firewood racks are extremely simple in design. They are more or less rectangular shapes with walls on the sides. Since you don’t have to deal with overhanging beams, it is easy to access firewood. We wouldn’t mind if they added to their selection and included some curve walls for centralization purposes, however. Also, there are pretty large gaps at the base and on the side walls. So wood that isn’t perfectly cut to length may overhang or fall through the gaps if you aren’t careful.
Storage Space –
Ucared has what we would consider a “small” and “medium” sized rack. The larger model is 47” wide, 24” deep, and 24” tall. While we are a bit underwhelmed with the height, the depth (2 feet) is higher than most other brands can offer. Because of this, you will be able to cut longer pieces of firewood and have them properly rest on this. We do wish that Ucared branched out into the larger sizes as well.
Build Quality –
The build quality is about average. Ucared uses steel with a powder-coated outside finish to make it more resilient to Mother Nature. And the beam thickness is normal. These models should last for a few years of typical wear and tear without issue.
Cost –
The simple design means that you aren’t paying a premium for added parts or accessories. However, despite their simplicity, Ucared firewood racks are a bit higher priced than some of the other comparable models that we have come across. They are still at an acceptable price range but for someone that is trying to stick to a tight budget, there are more affordable racks out there that offer the same amenities.
Overall Rating –
We have no major gripes about Ucared and their firewood racks. There are areas that they could improve on: a larger selection and a slightly lower price to name a couple. But if you end up purchasing one of their products, you shouldn’t have any issues.
WGX Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Despite the attractiveness of the WGX firewood rack, it can be a bit difficult to use. This is because of the framing that “hugs” the wood in all directions. Because of this, you will have to slide logs in and out as opposed to being able to lift them up or down. This can make things pretty difficult if you have the logs wedged in there tight. And since it is a pretty narrow model, you will have to be quite strategic in how you stack the wood.
Storage Space –
On paper, the WGX firewood rack should be able to hold a decent amount of wood. It comes in at 24” wide, 14” deep, and 40” tall. However, as we mentioned above, the frame design can limit your storage space. A lot of the space may not be properly utilized since the frame can get in the way. You will still be able to store enough logs to last for a few days worth of fire and maybe even a week or two. But beyond that, you may struggle.
Build Quality –
Appropriate steel with a protective outer layer is used here. And the support bolts that run along the sides aren’t terrible, either. With the design of this model, you will have most of your weight push against the thicker frame instead of the thinner bolt area. So while you may be a bit concerned about the thin bolt structure, they should hold up just fine.
Cost –
Unfortunately, you will have to pay a pretty high premium to enjoy a WGX firewood rack. This may be due to the specialized design that requires longer assembly bolts than most models have. The plus is that if you are wanting a fire log rack that stands out, this is the one. And it is attractive enough to be used as both an indoor or outdoor model. The negative is that if you are just looking for an affordable rack with lots of storage space, there are more cost-effective units out there.
Overall Rating –
There are some high points and some low points with the WGX firewood rack. On the positive, it is a cool-looking product. It will look right at home in both indoor and outdoor settings. The build quality seems to be acceptable as well. As for negatives, you may find the process of adding and removing firewood to be a little cumbersome. Also, the cost is higher than many people may want to pay.
Woodhaven Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
Woodhaven takes a very simple approach and it works quite well. Most of their models are the traditional rectangular shape. There are also a few crescent-shaped units that help to centralize the wood and even have underside storage for kindling. The top of these racks are fully open so stacking and removing wood is a breeze. And one of the coolest features with a Woodhaven firewood rack that you won’t get with just about anybody else is the included protective cover. This cover can be draped over the wood to protect it from elements such as rain and snow. There are even some models that can be adjusted to different lengths depending on your needs!
Storage Space –
If you are after serious storage space, look no further than Woodhaven. Sure, they have some smaller models that can even be used in indoor settings. But where they shine is in their larger models. They have one of the largest models that we have ever tested: an enormous 16-foot wide firewood rack! As we mentioned above, some of their larger racks can also be adjusted to smaller sizes so you do get the best of both worlds.
Build Quality –
We were blown away by the build quality of Woodhaven firewood racks. In places that other brands may skimp on with bolts, blue, or cheap welds, Woodhaven utilizes advanced arc welding. And the bolts and nuts that are necessary are stainless steel. The frame uses is massive: 2” by 1” Gauge rectangular tubing in many cases. And this tubing is coated in a textured powder coat finish. These are serious wood racks that are designed for the most demanding of applications.
Cost –
Now for the only negative: the price. Woodhaven firewood racks are some of the priciest around. But when you consider their size, build quality, and ease of use, the price is much more justifiable. If you are looking for the very best in racks and something that will last 4x longer than the competition, then this brand will deliver. If you look at it that way, these are a bargain seeing how long they should last!
Overall Rating –
If you are after the very best and not willing to compromise, Woodhaven is the brand for you. They have a nice selection of small, medium, large, and huge firewood racks. And no matter which model you go with, you will enjoy an easy-to-use unit that can have some clever features. These features can include things such as a separate base area for kindling, adjustable length frame, and even an included protective top cover. However, you will have to pay a high asking price for all of this. But in our opinion, it is well worth it.
Y-Furniture Design Firewood Rack Review
Ease of Use –
We don’t find the Y-Furniture Design firewood rack particularly easy to use. This is due to the shape of it. There is a large support beam that runs along the side of it and to the top. While this is pretty standard practice, Y-Furniture Design only has a single beam as opposed to dual beams. We assume this is in an attempt to have a more modern and simplistic design. The results, while nice-looking, can make stacking and accessing wood a bit more challenging. On a positive note, we do like that the base as semi-solid so you that you don’t have to worry as much about firewood falling through.
Storage Space –
Storage space is a bit lacking here. This model is more intended as temporary indoor storage instead of a long-term outdoor solution. Specifically, you are looking at around 21” wide, 16” deep, and 37” tall of storage space. But as we alluded to above, you may struggle to fully take advantage of all of this space.
Build Quality –
One area that Y-Furniture Design does shine is in its build quality. These units are extremely well made. They are made of heavy-duty, high-quality 11ga steel. And the steel is protected by a high resistance powder coat paint that is UV, rust, and heat resistant. We also like how the Y-Furniture Design firewood rack doesn’t rely on a ton of bolts to hold it together. Finally, it is made in Canada which we almost always prefer to being made in China or India.
Cost –
This is a pretty pricey rack. The combination of high-quality materials and a more localized manufacturing process can be felt in the asking price. And considering the somewhat limited storage space and finicky accessible issue, there are more cost-effective models out there. But this is a fantastically made product and it looks great (and that has to count for something!).
Overall Rating –
If aesthetics and simplicity trump features and cost-effectiveness, then the Y-Furniture Design firewood rack can make an argument for your purchase. We can’t deny that this model is designed to last for many years and it will look great doing it. However, for those why just want a simple product that can hold a lot of wood for not a lot of money, you will probably want to pass on this company.
